POST-DOCTORALFELLOWPOSITION IN THEUPPERAIRWAYCHEMOSENSORYLAB
We are seeking a team-oriented and motivated post-doctoral fellow to join our lab at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Our NIH-funded lab studies chemosensory responses to environmental cues, leading to inflammation and disease in the upper airway. We maintain a translational focus by using ex vivo human tissues, cell culture, and genetic mouse models to determine cellular pathways and interactions linking airborne irritants to immune functions. More information on our current research interests and the lab can be found at: https://medicine.iu.edu/faculty-labs/ramakrishnan-lab.
IUSM offers a highly collaborative and inclusive environment with a core group of immunology, bioengineering and neuroscience investigators exploring chemosensory contributions to airway physiology and disease.
As the nation's largest medical school, IUSM is committed to being an institution that not only reflects the diversity of the learners we teach and the patient populations we serve, but also pursues the values of diversity, equity and inclusion that inform academic excellence. We desire candidates who enhance our representational diversity, as well as those whose work contributes to equitable and inclusive learning and working environments for our students, staff, and faculty. IUSM strives to take an anti-racist stance, regularly evaluating and updating its policies, procedures, and practices to confer equitable opportunities for contribution and advancement for all members of our community. We invite individuals who will join us in our mission to racial equity to transform health and wellbeing for all throughout the state of Indiana.
Doctorate degree requirements. Applicants must have a PhD in Neuroscience, Cell/Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field and should be eligible for employment in the US.
