The Indiana Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center (IHTC), Indiana’s only federally designated Hemophilia Treatment Center, is actively recruiting for a newly established Director of Clinical Research/Assistant Medical Director. Responsibilities will include medical direction, oversight and leadership of many active and prospective transitional/clinical trials. The IHTC has a national and international reputation for clinical research with nearly 70 active studies in hemophilia, hemostasis/thrombosis, and sickle cell disease. Opportunities also include, at the discretion of the candidate, clinical care.
The Indiana Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center (IHTC) is one of the nation’s largest hemophilia treatment centers and a leader in clinical research in non-malignant blood disorders. The Director of Clinical Research/Assistant Medical Director is being created in response to continued growth in clinical research studies and the desire to expand our physician leadership team.
In this role you will:
Work collaboratively with the CEO/Medical Director for on-boarding and development of a staged transition for current clinical research studies
Provide medical oversight for a wide range of clinical studies including investigator-initiated, national and international collaborations, and pharmaceutical trials
Mentor IHTC physician investigators and research staff
Collaborate with investigators from other institutions nationally and internationally
Participate in the development of research publications
The IHTC is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit Center located on the campus of St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our team of professionals includes 14 adult and pediatric Hematologists, 8 clinical research coordinators and a diverse group of multidisciplinary staff serving our 8,000 patients. Ideal candidates will be board-certified in either Pediatric or Adult Hematology with particular expertise in benign hematology and a demonstrated track record in conduct of clinical research, and mentoring physician colleagues and research staff.
